AB’s opens shop in Velachery Absolute Barbecues, fondly known as AB’s opened at T – Nagar couple of years back with a big bang. 2 years on, they’re still consistent with their top notch service and the ratings in Zomato are proof to that. To make AB’s more accessible to the bustling IT crowd, AB’s recently opened an outlet in Velachery. It’s located quite close to OMR, the IT nerve center of the city, bang opposite Taramani TCS. I was pleasantly surprised when I got an invite for a weekend dinner at AB’s and was happy to learn a bunch of my foodie buddies will be present as well. Naturally, I accepted it and started looking forward to the fun evening. Starting off the grill Their starters are the key to AB’s success and I was glad to see the same quality being offered here. We started off with drinks, and I particularly liked  Chennai Summers , a blend of Yogurt, Strawberry, and Coconut set a pleasant tone on the palate. Chili's, Royapettah

Chili’s comes to Chennai Following the trend of popular International restaurants chains opening up shop in the busy city of Chennai, Chili’s,a Tex Mex chain of restaurants recently opened their doors in Express Avenue, Royapettah. While Chili’s is not new to India, I guess this could very well be the first or one of the few Chili’s in the world that doesn’t serve Alcohol. But on reading more about them, I was completely enamored and wanted to try them out. The review day came, and I duly caught an Uber and reached here by 1.02 PM for my 1.00 PM appointment (I know I’m getting too close to being punctual these days, oh the horror !) After a round of pleasantries with the polite staff and managers alike, Sooraj, our friendly PR who arranged the meet took a seat with us to take us through the Chili’s

Foodies Meet and Eat at Arab Street Few weeks back, my dear friend Ajit Induchudan, who also happens to be a popular foodie, invited us for a lunch meet @ Arab Street in Ashok Nagar. My knowledge of Arab food is limited to Shawarma (One of the few non vegetarian dishes I eat), Hummus, Pita and Baba Ghanoush. Disclaimer : While this was an on-the-house meet, the review is my personal opinion of the food and our experience. To my surprise, I found a ton of Vegetarian items on Arab Street’s menu, some which really piqued my interest and the foodie inside me was jumping up in joy to taste them. For the first meet ever in my foodie life, I was bang on time for the meet. That would show how much I love middle eastern food, despite having tasted very few items from the cuisine. Knights of Chennai march on Arab Street Having humbled by the offering in the menu, we decided to go by the Manager’s recommendations, which, as it turns out, was the best choice. We started off with Lentil and Mushroo
