Parfait 3, Kilpauk

Image
A Sammienatorr  invite for a cake mixing session got me on my way to Parfait 3 in Kilpauk, and surprisingly, deviating from my usual behaviour, I was later than late this time, and reached there about 1 hour and 10 mins after the agreed time 😛 Naturally most people had settled down by then and gorging on food. I placed an order for Mango Mint Smoothie, Broccoli fritters and Veg Creamy Tomato Pasta. The Mint smoothie came first as a godsend to my parched throat and hungry stomach. The crispy and lovely Brocolli fritters followed next. Now the wait started for the pasta (I’ll come later, to why this bit is important), while I was waiting, I naturally started sharing the food from nearby plates out of sheer hunger. Eventually dessert platter came (Or should I say their entire stock of lovely desserts came?) and I started having my way with the various cakes on display. Finally, once I was almost done, the steward came to me asking if he can continue with my Pasta order (Adei, why th...

Bombay Halwa House, Kilpauk

Image
A not-so-rainy day left us craving for hot, spicy, Indian food and bang came Bombay Halwa House to my memory, as it was in my visit list for a while now. So after a show of searching for restaurants in Zomato, we decided on Bombay Halwa House, which we had already decided but still searched because it’s so cool yo 😉 After a bumpy ride, thanks for the battle-affected roads which had a WWE match with the rains and lost and my two wheeler which tried to stand alone in the rains and got a fever, we finally parked our vehicle in Windsor palace and ourselves inside Bombay Halwa House. I, having decided I want to try some rice item today, and my companion having decided she wants to try out some Indian bread, decided to order Amritsari Kulcha and Peas Pulao to meet the wishes of both. For starters we went with Mushroom tikka and Masala Papad First came the typical Onions meant to add a spicy tinge to our taste buds and get us prepared. They were followed by Masala Papad , and we sta...

Fusilli Reasons, Kilpauk

Image
Few silly reasons – That’s all you need to visit Fusilli Reasons Tucked into a small, but cozy space inside Dr. Vasudevan street, which again branches off from Ormes road, this place can be quite hard to find for first timers. But trust me when I say the effort would be worth it. With enough seating capacity for about 16 – 20 people at the same time, the place is almost always crowded. With that crowds, naturally you’d have to encroach up on the personal spaces of others, and pull off a convincing  death stare before you can get your own table. After strategically getting your table, you now have to manage to make your way to the front of the queue (well a horizontal one, considering the narrow gap between the tables and the counter), and place your order. The menu is quite limited – It has 2 – 3 types of Garlic breads, Ice Teas, Tang, Nachos, 3 – 4 varieties of Pasta and that’s it. I’ve been here multiple times, so it’s with ...
