Sree Akshayam, Anna Nagar

I’ve been here countless times since the time it was opened, and almost every single time, Sree Akshayam hasn’t let me down. A pretty decent place to have vegetarian food, Akshayam has good tiffin options as well as good veg meals. I really love the Elam dosa with garlic kozhambu. The Elaneer taste in Elam dosa is quite subtle and it goes well with the kozhambu. The only negative point here would be the long waiting times – Esp. in their AC division. Regardless of when you go (Lunch/Dinner), unless you’re lucky, be prepared to wait for anytime between 10 minutes and 45 minutes to get a table. But then, the crowd itself would be good proof for the delectable food served here I guess. Rating: 3.5/5 [srizonfbalbum id=5]

Location & Ambiance Located on Venus Colony, near Tangerine, Meena Tai is at the ground floor of a multi-restaurant building, owned by the same management. The other restaurant here is Batlivala and Khanabhoy, a Parsi restaurant, on the first floor and an Ethiopian restaurant is coming soon as well (Excited already!) PS: It’s a house that’s been remodeled into a restaurant. I definitely got that “at-home” feeling while I was here. Special kudos to that. To while away time, I went around clicking few snaps of the surroundings and the interiors. Meena Tai is tastefully styled with a vintage decor, and paintings adoring the walls, you’re sure to get that nostalgic vintage f
