Fusilli Reasons, Kilpauk

Few silly reasons – That’s all you need to visit Fusilli Reasons

Tucked into a small, but cozy space inside Dr. Vasudevan street, which again branches off from Ormes road, this place can be quite hard to find for first timers. But trust me when I say the effort would be worth it.

With enough seating capacity for about 16 – 20 people at the same time, the place is almost always crowded. With that crowds, naturally you’d have to encroach up on the personal spaces of others, and pull off a convincing death stare before you can get your own table.

After strategically getting your table, you now have to manage to make your way to the front of the queue (well a horizontal one, considering the narrow gap between the tables and the counter), and place your order.

The menu is quite limited – It has 2 – 3 types of Garlic breads, Ice Teas, Tang, Nachos, 3 – 4 varieties of Pasta and that’s it.

I’ve been here multiple times, so it’s with great pleasure, I can say that we’ve pretty much covered the entire menu of Fusilli Reasons.

Without further ado, I’ll give a quick rundown of the food:

Tang & Iced Teas – Chilled, a friend to a parched throat and might become my enemy if I elaborate too much about them

Garlic Breads – There are 3 varieties here – Cheese Garlic Bread, Beetroot Mayo Garlic Bread, Corn and Cheese Garlic Bread

It’s hard to compare between the three, since I liked all the three. But of course, everyone is partial and so am I – I’m partial to the Corn and Cheese Garlic Bread, while my companion whoops whenever she sees the Beetroot Mayo one (Perhaps it’s the pink colour of Beetroot Mayo that makes her whoop? I would never know unless I dare risk my face getting a Beetroot Mayo makeup, which I won’t πŸ˜› )

Pasta: Fusilli Reasons is another place where I really enjoy having Red Sauce Pasta. But naturally, a Herbed White Sauce Pasta is my personal favourite ! Mixed Pasta (White + Red Sauces) – It’s a culmination of conjugation of the sensation of Pasta Nation (V. V. Good-u)

Nachos: Bleh. Only -ve point perhaps.

Service: Self service

Cost: Total VFM. Cheapest item on the menu is Rs. 20 (Tang), while the costliest item is Rs. 90 (Pasta). 2 people can easily have a good meal here for Rs. 300 – 400, which is great in Kilpauk

Ambiance: Busy, noisy, thronged by teenagers, but fits well with the overall theme and makes you feel cozy.

Rating:

Cost: 5/5

VFM: 5/5

Taste: 4.5/5

Quantity: 4.5/5

Overall: 5/5

It’d be silly of us if we can’t find even a few silly reasons to visit Fusilli Reasons
