Tuscana Pizzeria, Nungambakkam

We went here couple of weeks ago and it was a pleasurable experience !

Our Order: Zuppa di funghi(Soup), Arancani di riso, Siciliana , Pasta Alla Norma, Cappuccino, Zocciata

The Positives:

Decent food, Good service, Ambience(though the place was noisy, it still looked nice).

Zuppa di funghi: Hands down, this is one of the best soups we had so far. I simply loved it.

Arancani di riso: Priced at Rs. 335, this wasn’t all that great to be jumping about, but it wasn’t bad either. It was just ok.

Siciliana: Though the pizza was good, I felt it’s not worth it’s price tag. I agree Tuscana is a premium resto, but still the price felt a little too high for this.

Pasta Alla Norma: My companion felt the pasta was good. I didn’t taste it because I have a strong dislike towards any pasta made with red sauce or has a slightest hint of red sauce in it.

Cappucino: Good.

Zucciata: Yummy.

I loved their service most of all. The stewards were polite, helpful and attentive.

Negatives:

I feel that Tuscana’s items are priced too high for the taste they give back. Our bill was close to 2K(though my Amex gave me a 15% discount, which brought it down to 1.7K). I would personally rate the worth of these items at somewhere near 1.2 K at the most. The innovation and taste front has to be improved to make their items fit the premium tag. Just my personal opinion.

Overall:

Quantity: 3.5/5

Taste: 3.5/5

Cost/VFM: 3.5/5

Service: 4.5/5

Ambience: 4/5

Total: 4/5
