Veg Punjabee Bites, Anna Nagar

I’ve been to Veg Punjabee Bites few times. And this place was impressive every single time.

First time I went, I had the Punjabi Thali. Priced at Rs. 175, it had these: Butter naan, Tandoori roti, 3 gravies, 1 rice, raita, salad, pickle, papad and sweet. The quantity was more than worth the price we pay for it and taste was pretty decent. The waiters were polite and attentive.

Second time I was there, I had Stuffed Mushroom Tikka and Cheese Garlic Paratha Combo. To put in one word how this experience was: Divine !

Recently, I went here with my mom for dinner. It was a bit crowded at that time and we had to wait for like 5 minutes before we got a table. We had a Paneer Paratha, Stuffed Kulcha and Butter naan, with Dal Maharani to go with it. Hara Bhara Kebab was tried for starters and Fresh Lime Soda, Rabadi for the dessert. The portions were quite filling and the taste was, yet again, divine.

All in all, I’ve been impressed everytime I’ve been here.

I would definitely go here whenever I need a quick bite, that doesn’t hurt my wallet.

Chili's, Royapettah

Chili’s comes to Chennai Following the trend of popular International restaurants chains opening up shop in the busy city of Chennai, Chili’s,a Tex Mex chain of restaurants recently opened their doors in Express Avenue, Royapettah. While Chili’s is not new to India, I guess this could very well be the first or one of the few Chili’s in the world that doesn’t serve Alcohol. Yes, the curse of No-Alcohol that Chennai places on every restaurant has affected Chili’s too. When I was first contacted by a friend of mine for a tasting session here, I wasn’t very sure. But on reading more about them, I was completely enamored and wanted to try them out. The review day came, and I duly caught an Uber and reached here by 1.02 PM for my 1.00 PM appointment (I know I’m getting too close to being punctual these days, oh the horror !) MC's Lunchbox, Porur

Update : Got a call from the MC’s Lunchbox team, assuring me that they’ll be taking corrective action on this issue and will keep training sessions for their delivery folks (who, it appears, are outsourced) to ensure this doesn’t happen. Keeping this in mind, updating my rating to reflect more on the food and less on the delivery. Food: 3.5/5 Delivery: 2.5/5 (For now). Personal opinion: Considering the efforts the team has taken to go through the feedback in detail, take corrective measures, and keep the customers informed about it, I’m more than willing to try MC’s Lunchbox again. ==================================================================== Tried out MC’s Lunchbox for dinner delivery last week, for 3 days.
