Apoorva's Sangeetha Veg. Restaurant (ASVR), Nungambakkam

After a great meet with Headstart folks in CCD, we went on to Apoorva’s Sangeetha Veg. Restaurant (ASVR) nearby for a quick dinner.

Pradeep, Charen, and Sandeep from our group settled for Dosas, while Jim ordered for Rotis and I ordered Garlic Naan. Jim and I ordered a Kadai Mushroom for splitting between ourselves.

Garlic Naan: It was more like Garlic butter naan and it was quite good.

Kadai Mushroom: Yummy !

Service: While the overall service was good, there was small peeve that I felt: We had specifically requested to bring all the food items together so that we can all start eating together, rather than one person waiting for their item to arrive. However, the Kadai mushroom and Naan arrived some 10 – 15 mins after all the other items had arrived, making that particular instruction meaningless. This was the only negative point I felt.

Price: I don’t remember the exact bill amount, but I remember it to be somewhere around 600 odd, which, for 5 people, is quite VFM. This was the AC section that we dined in.

Update : Got a call from the MC’s Lunchbox team, assuring me that they’ll be taking corrective action on this issue and will keep training sessions for their delivery folks (who, it appears, are outsourced) to ensure this doesn’t happen. Kebab Corner, Greams Road

This is somewhat an old review, so I’ll keep it as short as possible. My friend Asif and I went here on a rainy day, straight from office, as he was craving for Kebabs, and wanted to have the best Kebab that he can get in Chennai that night. I checked Zomato, and found this place rated quite high. Though it was a fair distance away from our usual route, we decided to make the trip and we were glad we did. I ordered Malai Paneer tikka, while he went for a Chicken kebab. While I found the Malai paneer tikka decent, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. My friend said he found the Chicken kebab extremely good ! So that’s it folks ! The place is quite light on your wallets, total VFM and deserves a 4/5 ! [fb_album id=”1093932570618492″]

Foodie 2015 - Year in Review

Foodie 2015 A fellow foodie buddy of mine Rajiv Shankar started a discussion on reviewing last year from our foodie perspective.
